Terms
Terms of Service
Effective October 18, 2026
These terms apply to the Exploded Things website at explodedthings.com and the videos on it. The website is run by Harrison Kaiser (“we”, “us”). By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.
What the videos are
Exploded Things makes short animated videos that explain how things work. They are for general education and curiosity. They simplify on purpose, and they arenot professional advice: nothing on the website is medical, health, safety, legal, financial or engineering advice, and it isn’t a substitute for a qualified professional. If a video is about a medical device or procedure, talk to a clinician about your own situation.
We research each video and list the sources we relied on, and we mark simplified pictures and illustrative numbers on screen. Even so, mistakes happen and science moves on. If you find an error, please tell us; when a video needs correcting, the corrected version replaces it.
How the videos are made
The videos are made with the help of AI tools, including AI-generated narration and AI-assisted animation. Each one is reviewed and approved by a person before it is published.
Using the videos
The videos, animations, narration, text, design and the Exploded Things name and logo belong to Harrison Kaiser or are used with permission. You’re welcome to watch the videos here and on our social media profiles, and to share links to them. Without our written permission, please don’t download, re-upload, edit, sell or otherwise reuse the videos or other material from the website, except as the law allows (for example, quoting a short excerpt for commentary or criticism with credit).
The sources we link to belong to their authors and publishers, and their own terms apply.
Using the website
Please don’t:
- try to get around the website’s security, or access parts of it you aren’t meant to;
- overload it, or use automated tools to copy its content, run large numbers of searches or send fake usage data;
- use it in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.
We may limit or block access that does.
Other websites
The website links to other sites, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and the sources behind each video. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
Privacy
How the website handles information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The website and its videos are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that the website will always be available or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the website or reliance on its content. Some places don’t allow certain of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes
We may update the website and these terms. If we change the terms, we will update this page and its effective date; using the website after that means you accept the updated terms.
